1 July 2009: Paletwa High School teachers have been collecting excess money from students for the academic year 2009 in Chin state western Burma.
Junta grabs relief meant for fire victims
30 June 2009: The Burmese military authorities have forcibly taken away most of the relief material, meant for local Chin people, who had suffered due to a fire in their village last April. The relief material had been supplied by their supporters from abroad.

Burmese goods to be imported to Mizoram again
19 June 2009: Burmese goods will be imported to Mizoram state from tomorrow 20 June as the dispute between the Zokhawthar Welfare Committee (ZWC) and Champhai Transport Union (CTU) has been resolved. This was announced by the local authorities of the Indo-Myanmar border trade no. 2.
Boarding schools have to pay Kyat 25 lakhs
18 June 2009: The Educational Director of Kalemyo, Sagaing division western Burma has demanded Kyat 25 lakhs from every private boarding school up to classes IX and 1X for this academic year in the Kalemyo area. School authorities are frustrated because of such a demand.
Illegally imprisoned duo released by junta
17 June 2009: The Burmese military junta had illegally sentenced and imprisoned Mr. TlungLawi and his son-law Mr. Nichung of Kala village, Matupi Township, southern Chin state for three years in Pakokku prison, Magwe division, Burma. They were released on 21 February 2009.
Chin children in orphanages increase
