Prime Minister Thein Sein arrives in Chin state
3 February 2010-02-03: Prime Minister General Thein Sein of the State Peace and Development Council, the official name for the Burmese military junta, arrived in Chin State, western Burma this morning.

The premier will address a public meeting in the town hall and will inaugurate a new hospital in Hakha, the capital of Chin state, said a local from Hakha over telephone.
After which, General Thein Sein will depart for Teddim town, in northern Chin state and will open another new 200 bedded hospital. He will also inaugurate the rebuilt Tahan market, which was gutted in 2006, said a local from Kalemyo.
The people of Tahan and Kalemyo have been waiting for the market to reopen for a long time.
The locals said General Thein Sein is likely to depart Kalemyo this evening for Naypitaw, the new capital of Burma. – Khonumthung News.
